Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Kitchen Lead to oversee daily culinary operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will lead kitchen staff, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and manage the overall food production process. Your energetic leadership will inspire your team to deliver exceptional dining experiences, maintain efficient kitchen workflows, and uphold our commitment to excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about culinary arts, team management, and hospitality management to make a significant impact.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are delivered consistently.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
Oversee the use of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
Train and develop kitchen staff on food safety protocols, proper food handling techniques, and operational procedures to foster a skilled and compliant team.
Lead shift management activities including scheduling, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during busy hours.
Conduct regular food safety audits, enforce sanitation standards, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with restaurant management to analyze profit and loss reports, develop budgets, and implement strategies for operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a culinary or hospitality setting; ability to manage teams effectively.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
Knowledge of inventory control, food safety management, and food industry best practices.
Excellent communication skills for staff training, team management, interviewing potential team members, and managerial communication.
Prior experience in fine dining or casual dining settings is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for budgeting, inventory counts, and sales reconciliation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
