You'll work alongside experienced engineers and surveyors, collect field data, prepare site plans and structural drawings, support permitting efforts, and help bring custom precast concrete projects from concept to completion.

What You'll Do
Your time will be split between field surveying, civil site design, and engineering support.
Surveying & Field Work
- Perform topographic and construction surveys
- Collect field data using total stations and other surveying equipment
- Verify site conditions and project dimensions
- Assist with construction layout and staking
- Maintain accurate survey records and field notes
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Engineering & Design
- Process survey data and generate existing condition plans using Carlson Software
- Prepare site plans and permit/construction drawings
- Prepare structural shop drawings using AutoCAD
- Assist with structural design calculations for precast concrete products
- Review contract plans and specifications
- Support engineering documentation and calculation packages
- Perform drawing back-checks and quality reviews
- Assist with special engineering and production projects
Project Support
- Assist with federal, state, and local permitting
- Collaborate with engineers, production personnel, project managers, and field crews
- Maintain engineering records and project documentation
- Help troubleshoot production and field issues
- Occasionally assist with installations and special projects
What We're Looking For
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Senior-level engineering students planning to graduate in 2027 will also be considered
Experience
- 0–3 years of engineering or surveying experience
- Internship or co-op experience is a plus
Technical Skills
Experience with—or willingness to learn—
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office
- GPS and Total Station equipment
- Survey data collection
- Civil engineering principles
- Structural drafting
Experience with Carlson, Mathcad, RISA, ET Culvert, DP Vault, or similar engineering software is a plus, but not required.
