Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Chiropractic Assistant/Front Desk! This vital role combines administrative excellence with compassionate patient service, ensuring smooth clinic operations and a welcoming environment. You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, medical records, and insurance processes while supporting clinical staff with essential documentation and billing tasks, as well as prepping and deprepping patients for certain treatments offered in the office. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a thriving healthcare setting dedicated to patient care and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in/check-out procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Schedule appointments efficiently while managing clinic calendars and patient flow using medical scheduling software
Collect and process payments, handle medical collections, and perform medical billing tasks in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Review and update patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies
Assist clinicians with documentation review, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and care plan documentation to support accurate billing and recordkeeping
Manage phone communication with patients, insurance companies, and vendors using professional phone etiquette and excellent customer service skills
Maintain organized filing systems for medical records, insurance documents, and other administrative files while ensuring compliance with health information management standards
Help the Dr. with tasks around the office including, wiping down and cleaning equipment, minor tasks that speed of the office flow such as helping patients in and out of rooms, as well as prepping and deprepping patient rooms.

Experience

Prior clinic experience or medical office experience is highly preferred
Familiarity with medical coding including CPT codes, ICD-9/ICD-10 codes, and Medicare billing processes
Experience handling health insurance claims and understanding of health insurance policies including HIPAA compliance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills including 10-key typing for data entry tasks
Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient service in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality
