Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding tasks on various metal components, ensuring that all work meets strict quality standards and safety regulations. Your expertise in MIG welding, along with your mechanical knowledge and ability to interpret blueprints and schematics, will be vital to delivering top-tier results on construction sites and in manufacturing environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and tools to bring designs to life with accuracy and efficiency.

Duties

Perform MIG welding on diverse materials, adhering to project specifications and safety standards
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine weld locations, angles, and procedures
Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to prepare materials for welding and ensure dimensional accuracy
Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading tools to shape and assemble metal components
Execute welding techniques as required by project specifications
Conduct rigging operations for lifting heavy materials with cranes or forklifts safely and efficiently during fabrication or installation processes
Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials like slag or excess metal debris while following all safety protocols
Inspect completed welds using visual inspection tools and non-destructive testing methods to ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards
Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, mechanical repairs, or modifications needed for project completion
Follow schematics and technical instructions precisely while adhering to safety guidelines at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience with a strong background in welding operations across various environments
Proficiency in MIG welding techniques
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication work
Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment
Mechanical knowledge of assembly processes, rigging operations, and machining is highly desirable
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
Experience working with sheet metal components, and structural steel is preferred
Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding practices in manufacturing or construction settings
Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not mandatory
Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments

Pay is based on knowledge, experience, and skill level.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
