Full Job Description

Accounting Assistant - Denny Menholt Honda

Denny Menholt Honda is seeking an Accounting Assistant for our Bozeman MT location.

Basic Function

The Accounting Assistant supports the accounting operations by assisting the Controller with daily financial activities, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring the timely completion of daily accounting processes.

Accounting

· Assist the Controller with daily accounting operations

· Process and review transactions for accuracy

· Maintain accounting records and organized physical and electronic files

· Reconcile general ledger accounts as directed by the Controller

· Ensure accounts payable and other liabilities are processed and paid timely

· Ensure accounts receivable and other receivables are reconciled and collected timely

· Review sales documents for completeness and ensure the transactions are posted accurately and timely

· Follow established accounting policies and procedures

· Other duties as directed by the Controller

Reporting

· Assist with various stages of monthly closing

· Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

· Produce various reports as needed by Dealership Management

· Prepare other reports and special projects as needed

Qualifications

· Accounting background

· Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personnel information

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

· Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
