As a Tree Groundsman/Trimmer, you will support tree trimming and removal operations by preparing the job site, assisting climbers and operators, cleaning debris, operating tools and equipment, and ensuring worksite safety. This is a hands-on, physical role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a strong, safety-focused crew. You will be required to know and demonstrate some of your basic knowledge and skills during the second interview. References are mandatory and will be checked.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist tree climbers and equipment operators with daily tree care operations
- Set up and break down job sites, including traffic and safety signage
- Operate chainsaws, pole saws, blowers, and other hand and power tools
- Haul and dispose of limbs, brush, and logs using equipment such as chippers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks and equipment
- Monitor and promote safety at all times during job operations
- Communicate effectively with team members and crew leaders
- Perform basic tree trimming and pruning under supervision
- Follow ALL company safety standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience in the tree care industry or landscaping (required)
- Familiarity with chainsaws, chippers, and hand tools
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform strenuous work in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Willingness to learn, work hard, and grow within the company
- CDL is a plus, but not required
