Immediate Openings Available - Now Hiring for Officer Positions!

Position Description
The purpose of this position is to protect property, serve the citizens and deter crime within the City. This is accomplished by promoting a secure environment through daily Police operations. Other duties include enforcing traffic laws, reporting on motor vehicle accidents, investigating crimes, maintaining positive community relations, maintaining job proficiency and knowledge, interacting with other City employees and citizens and may include providing specialized services. This position does not provide direction to other employees.

Insurance

As a full time employee, you will become a member of the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) with the City of North Richland Hills making contributions towards your account. You can also put savings toward retirement in the voluntary 457 deferred compensation plan.
Vacation, Holidays and Sick Leave
The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays. Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.

What We’re Looking For

Required - No convictions for class B misdemeanors or above within the last 10 years.

Additional Information
The North Richland Hills Police Department is administering a test to establish an eligibility list for Police Officers.

Applicants will be contacted with additional information regarding the testing process.
A valid driver's license must be presented at check-in.
For veterans who have received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Military, a copy of the DD Form 214 MUST be presented at the time of the test to receive five additional points on a passing test score.
