CAD design (engineering design task)

Full Job Description

Job Responsibilities

- - Prepare design development and construction document for routine as well as complex drafting assignments
  - Report directly to project manager and/or principal
  - Understand and follow proper procedures for control and revision of large shared AutoCAD files
  - Understand and follow proper procedures for coordination of changes across multiple views and disciplines
  - On an as-needed basis, assist in field measurements and observation of work on the construction job site
  - Must demonstrate understanding of professional communications in verbal exchanges, graphic documentation, and email correspondence
  - Knowledge of architectural planning, building materials, site planning, civil, structural, mechanical and acoustical engineering, and knowledge of building codes

Job Qualifications

- - Exceptional time management and computer skills
  - Proficient with AutoCAD; previous experience in architectural design, detailing, and construction administration is required
  - Substantial knowledge of production procedures and CAD standards required
  - Associate’s degree in Architecture preferred; education coupled with applicable experience considered
