A Day in the Life as an Accounting Associate

As an Accounting Associate, you'll take navigate a variety of duties within the accounting team, assisting both accounts payable and billing functions. Your main focuses will be processing incoming invoices, expense reports, and drop shipments. Responsibilities include:

Processing invoices using AP automation and ERP softwareReconciling employee credit cards and expense reportsProcessing drop shipment invoices from vendors and outgoing invoices to customersManaging the general accounting emails and working with the team to resolve customer and vendor invoice issuesAssisting with vendor reconciliation an other month-end close processesProviding back-up support for Accounts Payable and Receivable functionsEnsuring compliance with GAAP, company policies, and SOX requirements, including supporting internal controls, testing, and documentation

What You Need

Associate's degree in Accounting3+ years of relevant accounting experienceSolid understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC regulationsDemonstrated understanding of accounting principles and terminologyAccurate and efficient with data entry and basic math calculationsExcellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and customer service skillsDetail oriented with strong time management, accuracy, and organizational skills
