The Director Medical Laboratory Services will oversee a dynamic Laboratory department within a nonprofit community healthcare provider recognized for its 24/7 emergency room with minimal wait times, an expanding rural primary care network, and a dedicated Swing Bed Program that allows recovering patients to receive skilled 24/7 nursing and therapy without leaving town. The Director Clinical Laboratory will guide comprehensive Medical Lab Services that support emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and swing bed patients with accurate, timely diagnostics. As Laboratory Director, this leader will ensure regulatory compliance, quality assurance excellence, and optimal turnaround times while advancing best practices in clinical pathology, blood bank, microbiology, and chemistry services.

Reporting to senior hospital leadership, the Director Medical Laboratory Services will provide strategic and operational oversight for the Laboratory while mentoring supervisors, medical technologists, technicians, and phlebotomy staff. The Director Clinical Laboratory will collaborate closely with friendly nurses, dedicated physicians, and a diverse team of healthcare professionals across emergency services, primary care, and inpatient units. Responsibilities include budgeting, staffing optimization, quality improvement initiatives, accreditation readiness, and implementation of evidence-based laboratory protocols. The Laboratory Director will be empowered with strong administrative support and modern tools to drive performance, enhance patient safety, and cultivate a culture of accountability and teamwork.
