Your Role at Cabot:
Performs a variety of activities which include shipping, receiving, packing and warehousing of chemicals and materials. This includes multiple administrative computer tasks necessary to maintain organization of storage and proper incoming receipt of materials. This also includes facilitation of outgoing shipments to ensure they arrive on time and within quality expectations. The role may require coordinating with corporate logistics function. Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy, performing cycle counts, and investigating inventory discrepancies in both on-site and off-site warehouses. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the WPS department.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Prepare and pack orders for shipment; prepare and verify documentation; load shipment onto carriers. Receive & unpack goods, and label for identification purposes. Store items in warehouse on floors or shelves and document’s location in the inventory management system.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks, etc. as required to properly store and ship equipment and materials.
- May provide work guidance by coordinating day-to-day shift activities for the department while also performing the work of a WPS operator.
- Oversee the day-to-day coordination, preparation and verification of shipments and receipts of materials and equipment. Ensure proper documentation, notification and disposition and reports any deficiencies to manager.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, such as shortages, overages, and damaged goods.
- Ensure safe and correct use of equipment; carry out required inspections and audits.
- Participate in scheduled safety meetings and completes safety training requirements. Work in a safe manner and supports SH&E programs. Confirm co-workers, internal and external, use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure completion of initial incident reports and notification to Supervisor/Manager, when needed.
- Support efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
What You’ll Bring to Cabot:

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must possess or acquire a Department of Public Safety (DPS) Class 1D Hoisting Engineers License.
- Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s License
- 3-5 years of related experience; prior experience in a leadership role preferred.
