Position Summary
The Loan Processor processes loan applications and performs a variety of support duties related to the lending functions within the Credit Union.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Retain and continue to develop member and employee relationships by providing a consistent quality level of service that is timely, thorough and responsive to all employees and members.

Resolve problems to the lender’s satisfaction and to meet the members’ needs, including making the determination as to when it is necessary to involve other resources.

Maintain strong knowledge of all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations governing consumer lending to include NCUA Rules and Regulations, 701.21 b, c and z.

Input and load loan applications into the system and ensure all loans booked are complete and accurate according to policy.

Fund Indirect loan applications, as requested, through the TCI/Portico system and verify for completeness of information.
- Scan all indirect loan documents.

Assist lenders in verifying background information and employment of loan applicants and resolve discrepancies.

Process lien perfections/filings.

Review all loans booked for compliance discrepancies.

Process, maintain, and follow-up on all title work.

Open new accounts.

Disburse the loan, as needed.

Verify documents prior to closing for quality check.

Submit GAP claims.

Process and mail out counters/turndowns.

Answer all calls that have to do with the Lending Center.

Refer other Credit Union services to meet or exceed monthly sales goals. Participate in Credit Union incentive and business development programs.

Perform any additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Ability to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email software and use of the Internet. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED), and a minimum of two years related experience.
Previous financial experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, as necessary.
Base Compensation: $17.84 - $26.77 per hour, DOE
