Full Job Description

A receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and callers. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing front desk operations, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a professional and welcoming environment to the highest quality standards. We are seeking an individual with a pleasant personality, who is dependable, a team player, and possesses the following skills: ability to streamline office operations while working in a high-volume and fast paced office, solid organization skills, attention to detail, multitasking and prioritization, good stress management, time management, problem-solving abilities, customer service and interpersonal skills, phone etiquette, strong verbal and written communication.

This position is for our Binghamton location and is part-time with the following hours:

Monday: 1:30pm to 7:00pm

Wednesday: 1:30pm to 7:00pm

Friday: 11:00am to 4:00pm

Total hours- 16/weekly

Job Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome visitors, patients, and employees in a friendly and professional manner.
Handle confidential information with discretion while being HIPPA compliant.
Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
Appropriately direct visitors, patients, and employees to locations/offices.
Appointment check-in.
Schedule appointments.
Maintain multiple provider schedules.
Maintain patient records via electronic medical record system.
Insurance verification.
Respond to emails and general inquiries.
Lab order request processing.
Provide basic and accurate information.
Assist departments with clerical and administrative support tasks.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail, faxes, and deliveries.
Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a reception, customer service, or administrative support role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. multiline phone, computer, fax machines, scanners, and printers).
Standard office procedures.
Professional and customer service attitude and appearance.

Job Type: Part-time
