Assignment Overview

Shift: Days, 4x10hrs
Hours: 40 hrs/wk
Start Date: Jul 28, 2026
Length: 13 weeks
Openings: 1

Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Tech (CST) for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-volume OR setting, requiring NBSTSA certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

Full-time position in a 13-room OR that performs all surgical specialties except transplant
CVOR-focused role with scrub experience required
Utilizes da Vinci Xi robotic surgical systems (2 units on unit)
Charting performed in Cerner (experience required)
Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Floating to the General OR for non-cardiovascular cases is required

Requirements

Active IN or Compact RN/CST license currently in hand
Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) and NBSTSA
Minimum 2 years of CVOR scrub experience required
Proficiency in Cerner charting required
2 supervisor references required for consideration
SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Indiana residents are considered local candidates and may be eligible at a modified pay package
Current or former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive eligibility reset break — 90 days for out-of-state residents and 180 days for in-state residents
Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
