Ivy Tech Community College - Bloomington is looking for an individual to join their team as Assistant Director of Wraparound Services. This student-centered leadership role supports student success, well-being, and retention by overseeing Disability Support Services, IvyCares, and the Hive & Harvest Food Pantry. Working closely with the Director of Student Resources & Programming, the Assistant Director coordinates accommodations for students with disabilities, connects students with campus and community resources, provides case management support, and collaborates with faculty and staff to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about student advocacy, accessibility, and helping students overcome barriers to achieve their academic and personal goals.
This is a full-time, salaried position offering a salary range of $42,000 to $45,000, based on education and experience.
GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The Assistant Director of Wraparound Services serves as a key leader within the Division of Student Affairs, supporting the Student Resources & Programming unit in partnership with the Director of Student Resources & Programming. This position provides leadership and oversight for Disability Support Services, IvyCares, and the Hive & Harvest Food Pantry, ensuring students have access to comprehensive resources that promote academic success, well-being, and equitable outcomes.
The Assistant Director oversees Disability Support Services by engaging in the interactive process to determine eligibility for reasonable accommodations under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA). The position collaborates with students, faculty, and staff to implement accommodations, promote accessibility, and foster an inclusive learning environment.
Through IvyCares and the Hive & Harvest Food Pantry, the Assistant Director connects students with basic needs resources and other campus and community support services. Using a developmental and case management approach, the position coordinates outreach and intervention efforts that reduce barriers to success, strengthen student engagement, and promote retention, persistence, and credential completion.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with the Director of Student Resources & Programming to advance the strategic vision, daily operations, assessment, and continuous improvement of Wraparound Services, including Disability Support Services, IvyCares, and the Hive & Harvest Food Pantry.

Provide leadership and operational oversight for Wraparound Services programs and initiatives, ensuring services are student-centered, equitable, compliant, and aligned with institutional goals for student access, persistence, retention, and completion.

Manage a caseload of students receiving Disability Support Services and IvyCares support through proactive case management, individualized accommodation or support planning, regular communication, and ongoing progress monitoring to promote student accessibility and success.

Facilitate the interactive process with students, faculty, and staff to identify barriers to equitable access, determine reasonable accommodations, and coordinate appropriate campus and community resources in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504, and institutional policies.

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with auxiliary service providers (e.g., sign language interpreting, captioning, assistive technology, and other accessibility resources) to ensure equitable access to academic and co-curricular experiences.

Serve as the primary coordinator for IvyCares by connecting students with comprehensive campus and community resources, including emergency financial assistance, food security, housing, childcare, transportation, healthcare, mental health services, and other basic needs supports.

Serve as the primary administrator of the Hive & Harvest Food Pantry by overseeing daily operations, inventory management and coordination, data collection, safety and sanitation practices, and initiatives that address student basic needs.

Utilize student success data, early alerts, case management systems, and institutional metrics to identify students in need of support, coordinate timely interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of retention and student success initiatives.

Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, faculty, staff, and community partners to coordinate holistic support services, remove barriers to student success, and strengthen campus-wide accessibility, retention and persistence efforts.

Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in compliance with College policies, FERPA, ADA, Section 504, and applicable professional and legal standards.

Assist with the assessment, evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement of Wraparound Services by analyzing program outcomes, student engagement, data, and service utilization to inform strategic planning and decision-making.

Develop and implement communication, outreach, and educational initiatives that increase student awareness, engagement, and utilization of Wraparound Services and promote a culture of care and equitable access across the College.

Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and student-centered environment by demonstrating professionalism, advocacy, cultural responsiveness, collaboration, adaptability, and a commitment to equitable student success and access.

Represent Wraparound Services through participation in campus committees, institutional initiatives, professional organizations, and professional development opportunities that support student success, equitable access, retention, and completion.

Attend and support student events, outreach activities, and community engagement initiatives, including occasional evening and weekend responsibilities, as needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, counseling, social work, higher education, disability services, or a related field required.

Master's degree in higher education, college student personnel, counseling, leadership, student affairs administration, or a related discipline preferred.

Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in student success, disability services, retention initiatives, or a related higher education field required; or one (1) year of related experience with a master's degree.

Demonstrated experience supporting student retention, persistence, completion, registration, enrollment, or other student success initiatives preferred.

Experience working with diverse student populations and a demonstrated commitment to inclusive communication, accessibility, and equitable student support required.

Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills required.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, student-centered environment while demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, and leadership.

Working knowledge of student information systems, accommodation and assistive technologies, databases, Microsoft Office applications, email platforms, and student success technologies required.

Strong administrative, analytical, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills required.
