Department Information
The Intensive English Program (IEP) at Indiana University (IU) Bloomington offers a comprehensive set of courses aimed mainly at preparing international students to study in English at the university level. We are CEA accredited and proud members of University and College Intensive English Programs (UCIEP) and EnglishUSA.
Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities

Coordinates room scheduling for weekly events and testing.

Registers and enrolls students in SIS.
-
Processes tuition charges and serve as a point of contact with the Bursar.

Posts scholarships to student accounts.
-
Purchases event supplies and reconcile P-Card transactions.
-
Supervises student workers and approve timesheets.
-
Manages program email and WhatsApp communications.
-
Responds to student walk-ins and inquiries.
-
Processes IEP student final reports and document requests.
-
Coordinates programming, including orientation and weekly events.
-
Coordinates TOEFL testing and prepare result memos.
-
Processes rolling admissions.
-
Processes immigration documents and serve as a point of contact with OIS.

Guides students regarding OIS policies and provide necessary follow-up and reminders.

Maintains student records on the W-drive and in the database.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required

High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
