Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while adhering to strict quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Set up CNC machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other industrial equipment, ensuring proper calibration and tooling.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documents to produce accurate parts.
Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper use of hand tools, tooling, and materials handling procedures.
Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, fabrication processes, and quality control activities to meet production goals.

Skills

Proficiency in CNC programming and CAM programming for efficient machine operation.
Experience with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
Knowledge of shop math, factory experience, and manufacturing best practices.
Ability to operate various tools such as press brake machines, stamping presses, welding equipment, and forklift trucks.
Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting and safety standards in production settings.
Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and GD&T principles for quality assurance.
Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes including welding and assembly techniques.
Experience working with CAD software such as SolidWorks for design review or modifications.
