Job Title: Overnight Sleep Technologist (Shift differential for overnights)
Job Type: Full-Time, 39 hours a week
Pay: $30-$36/hour

Reports to: Sleep Center Lead Technologist & Sleep Center Manager
Position Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Overnight Sleep Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a registered Sleep Technologist with experience in conducting sleep studies and providing excellent patient care. The overnight shifts will involve performing diagnostic sleep studies and assisting patients in a comfortable and professional manner. This is a 39 hour/week full-time position with a flexible three-day work schedule with hours 6:45pm-7:45am. Training would take place at both our Blaine and Bloomington locations.
Major Areas of Responsibilities:

Conduct overnight sleep studies (Polysomnography) according to established protocols and guidelines.

Prepare patients for sleep studies, including explaining procedures, positioning, and applying necessary equipment.

Monitor patient conditions throughout the night, making adjustments to equipment as needed.

Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient information, study data, and any unusual observations during the study.

Work collaboratively with the sleep team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Maintain a clean and safe environment in the sleep lab, adhering to infection control protocols.

Troubleshoot and calibrate equipment as necessary to ensure proper functioning during sleep studies.

Provide patient education on sleep disorders and the importance of follow-up care, as needed.

Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Stay current with advancements in sleep medicine and sleep technology certifications.
Qualifications:

Required:
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or equivalent.

Knowledge and experience in performing sleep studies, including the use of polysomnography and related sleep diagnostic equipment.

Ability to monitor patients throughout overnight shifts and identify issues promptly.

Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams effectively.

Ability to handle patient care with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Certification
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with CPAP/BiPAP/MAD therapy, scoring sleep studies, and interpreting data.

Basic understanding of sleep disorders, including but not limited to sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy.

Must be able to perform repetitive tasks/motions, possess good coordination, and clarity of vision.
