Full Job Description

Job Summary

Prosource360 is seeking a highly skilled Medical Simulation Operator to support the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) Team Training Program at C-STARS Cincinnati. The Medical Simulation Operator will provide technical expertise in operating high-fidelity human patient simulation systems to deliver realistic medical training for military healthcare professionals.

The Medical Simulation Operator is responsible for the programming, operation, maintenance, and technical support of advanced simulation equipment used to train military medical personnel. This role supports simulation-based education through scenario development, digital video recording, learning management systems, equipment maintenance, and performance evaluation. The position works closely with instructors, curriculum developers, medical logistics personnel, and program leadership to ensure high-quality simulation training that supports operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and program high-fidelity human patient simulators in support of medical education and team training activities.
Provide technical support for simulation equipment, digital video recording systems, and other C-STARS training platforms.
Operate Learning Management Systems (LMS) and audio/visual systems to record, evaluate, and support simulation training events.
Prepare, configure, test, and recover simulation environments before and after scheduled training exercises.
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot realistic simulation scenarios based on course objectives and participant performance.
Analyze learner and team performance using simulation evaluation tools and assist with data collection and reporting.
Conduct orientation sessions on simulation equipment and training environments for instructors and participants.
Assist with daily operations of the simulation program, including program validation metrics and continuous process improvement.

Collaborate with curriculum advisors, program directors, medical logistics, IT personnel, and leadership to identify training needs and improve simulation capabilities.
Develop lesson plans, simulation scenarios, equipment troubleshooting guides, safety procedures, and maintenance documentation.
Provide recommendations regarding simulation center operations, future expansion, and high-fidelity simulation technologies.
Ensure simulation activities support learning objectives, performance standards, and skill sustainment requirements.
Operate task trainers, virtual reality procedural trainers, and high-fidelity simulation equipment while adjusting scenarios in real time based on participant actions.
Support simulation research projects and assist with train-the-trainer initiatives.
Participate in operational exercises, meetings, strategic planning sessions, and occasional travel supporting mission requirements.

Required Qualifications

Current National Registered Paramedic (NRP) certification or equivalent paramedic-level medical knowledge required. Registered Nurse (RN) certification is preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a military or civilian healthcare environment.
Minimum 2 years of experience programming high-fidelity patient simulators, including: Laerdal, Gaumard, CAE simulation platforms
Experience with course development and adult education methodologies.
Working knowledge of military trauma care, clinical procedures, and Air Force Medical Service Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 (SF-85) Position of Trust background investigation.
Ability to work onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following:

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or RN-level clinical experience.
Military medical or deployment experience.
Prior experience supporting C-STARS, Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT), or Aeromedical Evacuation training programs.
Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Audio/Visual technologies
Moulage creation and application
Hyper-realistic simulators
Medical task trainers
Existing or recent Department of Defense Tier 1 investigation or Common Access Card (CAC).
Residence within the Cincinnati metropolitan area.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
