Full Job Description

Chester Brunnenmeyer’s Bar and Grill is the top place to dine and work in Blue Ridge! We are looking for a professional prep cook to join our family. You must have a can- do attitude and be a team player! You will be expected to prepare food to Chester’s specifications and to set up, maintain and break down stations daily. Prep cook duties will consist of assisting with all daily kitchen tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our guest satisfaction goals. We are a tight-knit group at Chester's. If you have trouble getting to work on time, have a lot of drama in your personal life the spills over into your work life, struggle with addiction or have trouble functioning in a fast paced environment - this opportunity isn't for you.

Responsibilities

Follow the daily prep list as created by the Kitchen Manager
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Starts at $16.00/hr and increased with experience. No lowball offers here!
