Full Job Description

**UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP**

Chester Brunnenmeyer’s Bar and Grill is the top place to dine and work in Blue Ridge! We are looking for a couple of professional line cooks to join our family. You must have a can- do attitude and be a team player! You will be expected to prepare food to Chester’s specifications and to set up, maintain and break down stations daily. Line cook duties will consist of assisting with all daily kitchen tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our guest satisfaction goals. We are a tight-knit group at Chester's. If you have trouble getting to work on time, have a lot of drama in your personal life the spills over into your work life, struggle with addiction or have trouble functioning in a fast paced environment - this opportunity isn't for you.

Responsibilities

· Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

· Prepare food for service per Chester’s specifications

· Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

· Answer, report and follow all operational instructions

· Clean up station and take care of leftover food

· Stock inventory appropriately

· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

· Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.

Skills

· Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook

· Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

· Familiar with industry’s best practices

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Starts at $16.00/hr and increased with experience. No lowball offers here!
