Personal Trainer – Goodwin Strength & Stretch

We’re looking for an energetic, knowledgeable, and relationship-driven Personal Trainer who is passionate about changing lives through fitness. If you genuinely care about people, love continuing to learn, and enjoy coaching with purpose, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Coach one-on-one and semi-private personal training sessions with professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Design individualized training programs based on each client’s goals, movement quality, fitness level, and experience.
- Teach proper exercise technique, movement mechanics, and safe lifting principles.
- Build meaningful relationships that help clients stay accountable, motivated, and confident throughout their fitness journey.
- Track client progress and continually adjust programming to maximize results.
- Educate clients on healthy lifestyle habits, recovery, nutrition fundamentals, and sustainable long-term success.
- Deliver an exceptional member experience by creating a positive, encouraging, and motivating atmosphere every day.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment.
- Collaborate with the GSS coaching team to continually improve our coaching systems and member experience.
- Participate in staff meetings, continuing education opportunities, and team development.

- Strong understanding of strength training, exercise science, functional movement, and program design.
- Ability to coach clients of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels.
- Comfortable providing both encouragement and accountability.
- Willingness to continue learning and growing as a coach.
Required Qualifications
- Current nationally accredited Personal Training Certification (required).
- Current CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain before employment).
- Ability to safely demonstrate and coach strength training exercises.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
- Availability for early mornings, evenings, and/or Saturdays is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a personal trainer, strength coach, or group fitness coach.
- Nutrition coaching certification or experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Additional specialty certifications are a plus.
