Full Job Description

CNC Mill Machinist

We are looking for a dependable CNC Mill Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating CNC milling machines, maintaining part quality, making routine machine adjustments, and identifying problems before they create scrap or downtime.

The right candidate understands that consistent quality comes from careful setups, accurate measurements, good documentation, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling machines
Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and inspection requirements
Load and verify programs, tools, fixtures, and work offsets
Make tool changes and offset adjustments as needed
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment
Monitor tool wear, surface finish, dimensions, and machine performance
Troubleshoot basic machining and quality issues
Document production and inspection results accurately
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Work with programmers, inspectors, and other machinists to improve quality and efficiency

Qualifications

Previous experience operating CNC milling machines in a production environment
Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances
Experience using standard precision measuring equipment
Working knowledge of CNC tooling, offsets, and basic G-code
Ability to recognize and correct common machining problems
Strong attention to quality and detail
Dependable attendance and a willingness to work as part of a team

Experience with Haas, Mazak, or Fanuc-controlled equipment is preferred.
