Full Job Description

CNC Lathe Setup Machinist – Live Tooling | 1st & 2nd Shift | $28–36/hr DOE

ODIN Works manufactures premium firearm components and accessories for shooters who demand performance. We are a growing company looking for experienced machinists who take pride in their work, enjoy solving problems, and want ownership of the parts they produce.

This is not a button-pushing position. We are looking for machinists who can independently set up jobs, troubleshoot issues, maintain quality, and keep production moving.

What You'll Be Working With:

Haas CNC mills
Doosan live tooling lathes
Fanuc-based Robodrill equipment
Primarily machining 6061 and 7075 aluminum components
Tight tolerance production machining in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Growing manufacturing operation with opportunities to expand your skills and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC live tooling lathes and CNC milling machines
Read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and hold tight tolerances
Perform first article inspections and maintain quality throughout production runs
Adjust offsets, troubleshoot machining issues, and optimize machining processes
Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision inspection equipment
Work with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiency
Maintain equipment and follow all safety procedures
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts

What We’re Looking For:

4+ years CNC machining experience preferred
Strong live tooling lathe setup experience required
Ability to independently take jobs from print to production
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
Comfortable making offset adjustments and troubleshooting processes
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Firearm industry experience is helpful but not required

Shift Availability:
1st Shift and 2nd Shift Available

$18–25/hr DOE
