Full Job Description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Sonographer for our OB/GYN Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

Position Details

Status: PRN
Work Shift: Days
Hours: 20 hours every 2 weeks

What Your Day Looks Like: You will be preparing patients for exams, operating sonographic equipment, analyzing images, and collaborating with other healthcare providers and team members to provide caring, individualized treatment to our patients.

As a Sonographer, you will be:

Interviewing patients to gather medical history
Explaining the ultrasound process
Ensuring physical and emotional comfort for patients during exams
Performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations appropriate to patients' ages and treatment plans
Positioning patients during examinations to assure optimal imaging has been achieved; re-imaging as necessary
Documenting findings and ensuring images are properly recorded

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program - RDMS certification (Abdomen, OBGYN, and RVT) preferred
Experience: 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered
Licensure/Certification: Certified by the American Registry of Medical Sonographers
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, bending
