About the Role:
**NOT A REMOTE POSITION**
Ibex Metals is seeking a dependable, organized, and self-motivated Operations Support Specialist to support daily operations in our state of the art roll-forming facility. This is a hybrid role designed to assist multiple departments by managing production support tasks, inventory organization, shipping and receiving, customer service, and equipment upkeep. This position is an independent role, and reports to the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate enjoys variety throughout the workday, takes pride in staying organized, can shift priority focus often and is willing to jump in wherever needed to help keep production running efficiently. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth workflow from receiving raw materials through final shipment to customers.
Responsibilities Overview:
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive incoming coil deliveries, supplies, and vendor shipments.
- Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage.
- Organize received inventory into designated storage locations.
- Load and unload company trucks and customer vehicles safely.
- Prepare delivery orders for efficient loading and transportation.
Customer Service & Order Fulfillment
- Assist customers with product pickup and order verification.
- Prepare orders for customer load-out.
- Fulfill accessory orders accurately and efficiently.
- Package products to ensure safe transport.
Inventory Management
- Organize warehouse inventory for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify purchasing of low stock.
- Label and organize materials throughout the facility.
Production Support
- Assist manufacturing personnel with fabrication of standard components.
- Operate basic sheet metal equipment after proper training.
- Build shipping crates and custom packaging for required outbound products.
- Stage materials for on-site production and delivery.
- Tooling swaps on onsite trailers as applicable
- Help maintain an organized and clean production environment.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on shop equipment.
- Assist with daily equipment inspections.
- Report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Support overall shop cleanliness and organization.
Logistics Support
- Prepare company trucks for deliveries.
- Secure loads according to company safety standards.
- Assist with delivery planning and staging.
- Coordinate loading schedules with production and customer service teams.
Skillset/Qualification Overview:
Required
- Forklift experience
- Can adapt to changing priorities throughout the day
- Strong Communication Skills
- Experience with inventory management
- Takes ownership of their work
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50–75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work on your feet throughout the day.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in multiple departments.
Preferred
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience operating industrial equipment.
- Is willing to learn new skills and grow within the company
Compensation Overview:
- Competitive pay:(depending on qualifications)
