Full Job Description

Job Summary

Dutch Oven Bakery is hiring a Line Cook to run our Sandwich Bar. Served on 14 made-from-scratch house breads, our sandwiches make up the majority of our lunch menu. If you like to make good food in a fast-paced team environment, we'd love for you to join our team!

Duties

Prepare and assemble deli offerings such as sandwiches, salads, and specialty items according to established recipes and menu specifications
Operate kitchen equipment including slicers, ovens, grill and food warmers safely and efficiently
Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe work environment
Assist in menu planning by suggesting new deli items and seasonal specials that align with customer preferences and dietary needs
Handle food production tasks with precision, including food handling, portioning, and presentation to meet high-volume demands
Support dietary department initiatives by preparing meals that accommodate specific dietary restrictions or preferences
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours and catering events

Requirements

Previous experience in dietary aide roles or food service environments is highly desirable
Strong culinary skills including knife proficiency, grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
Experience operating kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, grills, and food warmers safely
Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume food production processes
Excellent food handling skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and portion control
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
Prior restaurant or catering experience is preferred; experience in fine dining settings is a plus
