Business Development Representative

Department: Sales

Reports to: Owners

Employment Type: Full Time, 40 hours, Monday through Friday

Salary: $45,000-$55,000

Performance-based Bonus Program Included

What You Will Do:

This is a business development role focused on generating new client opportunities through outbound prospecting. Your primary responsibility will be identifying and contacting small business owners, introducing Legacy Advisors’ services, and scheduling appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

● Prospect businesses with fewer than 10 employees

● Make outbound phone calls to business owners and decision-makers

● Schedule qualified appointments

● Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients

● Track activity and follow-ups using our CRM

● Build long-term relationships with local business owners

● Meet and exceed monthly activity and appointment goals

● Represent Legacy Advisors professionally in all interactions

Competencies:

Previous sales, customer service, or business development experience preferred
Comfortable making outbound calls
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated and goal-oriented
Organized with good time management skills
Basic computer proficiency
Insurance experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right person.

Work Environment:

Legacy Advisors offers a business casual office environment in downtown Columbia, MO.

Required Education & Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

● Strong organizational and time-management skills

● Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
