Our
Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable integrations that connect critical enterprise applications and enable seamless data flow across the organization.
The role partners closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient integration solutions using modern APIs, cloud integration platforms, and event-driven architectures. This critical IT position also ensures the health and performance of integration environments through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement of integration standards and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end integrations between enterprise systems including ATS, CRM, HCM, and financial platforms using REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns
- Build and maintain integration workflows in Azure (Logic Apps, Functions, API Management, Service Bus) and Workato, following established patterns for error handling, retry logic, and monitoring
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and platform owners to gather integration requirements, document data mappings, and produce technical specifications
- Monitor integration health and performance; diagnose and resolve issues across middleware, APIs, and connected systems; escalate critical failures to appropriate teams
- Maintain thorough documentation of integration architectures, field mappings, error handling procedures, and runbooks; contribute to an internal knowledge base and assist in onboarding new team members
- Participate in code and design reviews; contribute to continuous improvement of integration standards, reusable components, and platform governance practices
Knowledge, Skills, and Experiences:
- 3+ years of experience in systems or enterprise integration engineering
- Proficiency with REST API design and consumption; familiarity with SOAP and webhook patterns
- Experience with JSON/XML data transformation, data mapping, and schema design
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across distributed systems and asynchronous workflows
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and comfort working in sprint-based development cycles
- Experience with Hubspot, Bullhorn, or Workday integrations is preferred
- Azure developer certifications a plus
- Experience leveraging AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar) to accelerate integration development, generate boilerplate, and assist with debugging and code review.
Location: Virtual / Remote
Base pay range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year. Final annual compensation will be based on experience and may vary by geographic location.
