Underwriter Duties and Responsibilities: We are seeking individuals interested in a unique career opportunity. First and foremost, we are looking for candidates with good people skills, high verbal aptitude, and analytical ability. There is no requirement for a specific major or prior insurance experience in order to qualify for the Underwriter position. An Underwriter’s responsibilities at Andover include risk selection, product development, pricing, and communicating with our independent agents. Most time is spent within the home office, although some travel does occur. Education is an important element of our culture. Underwriters are strongly encouraged to become involved in the CPCU and ARe programs, along with any additional educational opportunities that would enhance an individual’s skill set.

Underwriter Qualifications: Again, there is no requirement for a specific major or prior insurance experience in order to qualify for the Underwriter position.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
