Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and become a vital part of ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance in manufacturing and fabrication processes. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to inspect welded components, verify adherence to industry standards, and uphold rigorous quality management systems. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence will help drive continuous improvement and guarantee that products meet all regulatory and customer specifications. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated professionals eager to make a tangible impact through precision inspection and quality assurance.

We are seeking an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for utility transmission pipeline projects governed by API 1104/ASME 31.3

This role involves field inspection and quality oversight of welding operations on utility infrastructure, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform visual welding inspections in accordance with API 1104
Verify compliance with approved WPS and essential variables
Monitor production welding activities in the field
Review and document NDT results (RT, UT, MT, PT)
Maintain detailed daily inspection reports and QA/ QC documentation
Assist with weld mapping, tracking, and traceability
Support development and review of as-built documentation
Coordinate with contractor crews, utility representatives, and third-party inspectors

Qualifications:

Active AWS CWI certification
Strong working knowledge of API 1104
Experience on pipeline or utility transmission projects
Ability to interpret weld maps, isometric drawings, and construction documents
Strong documentation and communication skills

Location: Boston Area

$45 to $55 DOE

$1,200 weekly per diem

Duel Certifications start at $50 per hour

Must be a qualified CWI with pipeline inspection experience and strong documentation skills.
