Residential Electrical Apprentice
Huckleberry Electric is hiring an experienced Residential Electrical Apprentice to join our growing service and installation team.
This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have at least one full year of hands-on residential electrical experience working under licensed electricians.
Experience in restaurants, general maintenance, property maintenance, handyman work, general construction, or unrelated trades does not meet this requirement unless your primary duties involved residential electrical installations and repairs.
We are looking for someone who is serious about building a long-term career in the electrical trade—not someone simply looking for their next job. The right person will be highly motivated, dependable, coachable, and committed to becoming an excellent residential service electrician.
What We Do
Huckleberry Electric specializes in:
- Electrical panel and service upgrades
- Meter replacements
- EV charger installations
- Generator installations
- Battery backup systems
- Residential troubleshooting and repairs
- Full and partial home rewires
Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with residential service and installation projects
- Support panel upgrades, service upgrades, and meter replacement projects
- Assist with EV charger, generator, and battery backup installations
- Help complete full and partial residential rewires
- Pull wire, install boxes and devices, drill holes, bend conduit, and assist with rough-in and trim-out work
- Prepare materials and tools before and during each project
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and job sites clean and organized
- Follow company safety procedures, installation standards, and job-site expectations
- Take clear, complete job-site photos
- Document project progress, materials, and job details in ServiceTitan
- Communicate professionally with journeymen, office staff, and customers
- Accept feedback, take responsibility for mistakes, and consistently improve
Minimum Qualifications

- Active Washington State Electrical Trainee Certificate
- At least one year of verifiable, hands-on residential electrical experience
- Experience completing residential rough-in, trim-out, service work, or electrical installation projects
- Familiarity with common residential electrical tools, materials, wiring methods, and job-site procedures
- Previous experience using a CRM, field-service platform, or electronic job-management system
- Reliable transportation to our shop or assigned meeting location
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under a journeyman or lead electrician
- Strong attendance, punctuality, communication, and work ethic
- Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, and work in attics, crawl spaces, and other physically demanding environments
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience using ServiceTitan
- Experience with residential service calls and customer communication
- Experience with panel replacements, service upgrades, EV chargers, generators, battery systems, or residential rewires
- Strong job documentation and job-site photography skills
