Full Job Description

We are a well established commercial property management company in Boulder County, CO with 30+ years of experience. Our office is fast-paced and very team oriented, we are looking for a like-minded individual. All employees are expected to be extremely self-motivated, flexible, and eager to assist in any way necessary.

Must have Quickbooks Desktop Experience

Job Function/Purpose:

This position is responsible for overseeing most of the accounting function. Provide general clerical duties relative to billing AP/AR or any other business-related transactions.

Key Accountabilities:

· Oversees AP/AR for numerous entities

· Maintains all monthly reporting

· Updates general ledger as needed

· Maintains state tenant ledgers

· Maintains records of all applicable transactions

· Writes, distributes multiple checks (multiple entities) for various vendors and mails on a weekly basis

· Scan and file all paid bills

· Responsible for recording all deposits

· Answers office phone as needed

· Handles moderately complex issues and problems

· Create budgets and input into QuickBooks

Other Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities/Expectations

· Other duties as assigned

Supervision:

· Works fairly independently

Job Qualifications:

· General understanding of accounting principles

· Passes solid knowledge of subject matter

· High School

4. Experience:

· 3 plus years’ experience with general accounting practices

Work Environment/Physical Activities

1. Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.

2. Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to read numbers, reports, and computer terminals. Requires hearing within normal range for telephone use.

3. Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations.

4. Must be able to accurately code data, must be knowledgeable in office procedures and able to answer questions in a professional and friendly manner. Must be able to balance accounts and compile computer reports. Must be able to make effective decisions in manager’s absence.

5. Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans. Must understand people and be able to communicate effectively with them. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.

6. Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.

7. Ability to do simple math calculations, input data into the computer and analyze data as required.
