We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, energetic, and personable Plant IT Support Specialist to join our team!

Plant I.T. Support Specialist

Scope of Responsibilities:

Plant I.T. Support Specialist is responsible for answering, commenting, and replying to open incidents. Conducting plant floor tours to support production users and identify any issues. Has the ability to identify and organize Help Desk tickets according to priority.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and/or electronically during business hours and on-call schedule.

2. Install and terminate network cabling in various types of environments (office, factory floor, outside) and in various locations (overhead, subfloor, through/over/under equipment, etc.)

3. Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.

4. Respond to Help Desk tickets and log all interactions.

5. Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.

6. Stays current with system information, changes, and updates.

7. Create user guides or training for common problems.

8. Supports and assists in the development and improvement of the NHK Group.

9. Lifting and carrying computer/related devices weighing up to 50 pounds.

10. IT assignments will be approximately 50% in Bowling Green, KY, and 50% in Franklin, KY.

11. The estimated travel required is approximately 5%.

12. Other duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. 1+ year experience in the IT field

2. College degree or IT certification(s) related to Information Technology is a plus but not required.

3. Ability to work in a factory environment 65% or more of the time

4. Ability to install and terminate network cabling in various types of environments (office, factory floor, outside) and in various locations (overhead, subfloor, through/over/under equipment, etc.) and on occasions, using various lifts between 4 feet to 40 feet in the air 50% of the time.

5. Ability to lift and carry computers or other IT equipment up to 50 pounds.
