Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Engineer specializing in Commercial Projects to join our client. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support the planning, coordination, and execution of diverse commercial construction initiatives. As a vital member of the project management team, you will drive project success through effective collaboration, precise scheduling, and rigorous cost control. Your expertise will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards, contributing to our reputation for excellence in the construction industry.

Duties

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software.
Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates and budgets utilizing construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Civil engineering project management software.
Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Request for Information), and submittals with tools like ProCore and Bluebeam.
Monitor project progress through regular site visits, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and schedule milestones.
Analyze project data using Excel for cost management, schedule tracking, and data analysis to identify potential risks or delays early.
Coordinate procurement activities by tracking material deliveries, reviewing construction plans, and managing subcontractor schedules.
Support project scheduling efforts by updating timelines, adjusting resource allocations, and ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders through detailed reports and meetings to maintain momentum and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction management or civil engineering project management within commercial construction environments.
Strong proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Bluebeam, ProCore, HeavyBid, and other construction management software.
Demonstrated knowledge of construction estimating techniques, scheduling software, and contract administration.
Hands-on construction site experience with an understanding of safety standards and quality control procedures.
Excellent analysis skills for data-driven decision making related to cost control and schedule optimization.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills for coordinating teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors seamlessly.
