MRI Training Opportunity | Advanced Medical Imaging - X-Ray Tech I

This position offers an exciting MRI training opportunity for motivated radiologic technologists looking to expand their imaging expertise.

Position Summary The ARRT Radiologic Technologist at AMI Outpatient Clinic performs diagnostic X-ray procedures to aid patient diagnosis and treatment under a radiologist's guidance. Using advanced imaging technology at AMI Outpatient Clinic, the technologist creates high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort per ACR guidelines. This role requires teamwork, precise equipment operation, and adherence to safety protocols. The technologist supports quality improvement and patient-centered care at AMI Outpatient Clinic.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
Active Montana Radiologic Technologist license
American Heart Association BLS certification within 60 days of hire

Preferred

1 year of clinical X-ray experience
Experience with digital X-ray systems
Experience in orthopedic, chest, and abdominal imaging

Essential Job Functions

Performs diagnostic X-ray exams at AMI Outpatient Clinic, ensuring image quality and safety.
Follows ACR and Montana state radiation safety guidelines
Works with radiologists and quality coordinators at AMI Outpatient Clinic to optimize protocols and ensure safety.
Positions patients and selects appropriate imaging parameters for best results.
Adjusts equipment settings to improve images while minimizing radiation exposure. Manages exam documentation, billing, and archiving in EMR systems used by AMI Outpatient Clinic.
Reviews prior imaging and records for timely reporting.
Inspects and maintains X-ray equipment at AMI Outpatient Clinic, reporting issues promptly.
Participates in quality improvement, peer review, and continuing education.
Keeps imaging suite at AMI Outpatient Clinic clean, safe, and compliant with infection control and safety policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of radiologic physics, X-ray imaging techniques, and anatomy.
Skilled in operating digital X-ray equipment.
Understands radiation safety and ALARA principles.
Provides empathetic, professional patient care.
Works well in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision at AMI Outpatient Clinic. Communicates and collaborates with teams effectively.
Uses EMR, PACS, Microsoft Office, and office equipment proficiently.
Solves problems and optimizes protocols.
Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA.

Schedule Requirements

Full-time with regular attendance at AMI Outpatient Clinic.
Monday-Friday, daytime hours.
No regular weekends, on-call, or holiday shifts.
Flexible for patient scheduling needs at AMI Outpatient Clinic.

Exposures (Continuously, 100%-67%): Faces bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, medications, infectious diseases, and emotional situations
Environmental Conditions (Frequently, 66%-33%): Works in controlled indoor settings with exposure to equipment noise, temperature variations, and bright lights.
