Position Summary
The RA Supervisor / Lead Care Professional oversees daily care operations within a 16‑bed assisted living community, ensuring high‑quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination among staff. This role provides hands‑on leadership, supports direct care personnel, and maintains a safe, organized, and resident‑centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership and guidance to care staff to ensure consistent delivery of resident‑centered services
- Oversee shift operations, including assignments, coverage, and workflow management
- Monitor resident well‑being and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns
- Ensure compliance with Florida Statutes Chapter 429, AHCA regulations, and facility policies
- Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and performance support for care staff
- Review and maintain accurate resident documentation, including daily notes, care logs, incident reports, and service records
- Support medication assistance protocols in accordance with Florida ALF standards (if delegated and trained)
- Coordinate with the Administrator on staffing needs, scheduling, and operational priorities
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful living environment
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, guardians, and external providers
- Participate in emergency preparedness procedures, drills, and safety compliance
- Provide companionship, engagement, and supportive interaction to residents
- Assist with meal service, activities, and community outings as needed
- Serve as the acting lead on shift and escalate concerns appropriately to the Administrator
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an assisted living, group home, or senior care setting
- Strong working knowledge of ALF care standards, resident rights, and safety protocols
- Ability to complete required ALF/APD trainings (Zero Tolerance, Core Competencies, HIV/AIDS, Infection Control, CPR/First Aid, etc.)
- Level II Background Screening clearance
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform essential physical tasks
- Reliable transportation; ability to operate a passenger van preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Lead Caregiver, Med Tech, Shift Supervisor, or similar role
- Familiarity with small‑community ALF operations
- Experience supporting residents with developmental disabilities (APD)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Work Environment
The Supervisor / Lead Care Professional works within a home‑like assisted living setting serving 19 residents. The role is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and requires consistent teamwork, flexibility, and direct engagement with residents and staff. Duties may involve standing for extended periods, assisting with physical tasks, and participating in community outings. Scheduling may include evening, weekend, or on‑call responsibilities based on facility needs.
Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
