Full Job Description

Overview
We are a Contract Processing company in the process of growing our network and our team. We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in mortgage processing and a strong understanding of loan origination procedures. This job is fully remote. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. No independent processing license required. Must have own computer and reliable internet connection.

This position is paid on a per-file basis with a guaranteed minimum of files per month during busy season, with opportunity for higher volume based on performance and capacity.

Duties

Review and verify mortgage loan applications for accuracy and completeness
Conduct credit analysis and assess the creditworthiness of applicants
Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to ensure timely processing of mortgage applications
Prepare and submit mortgage loan applications to underwriting for approval
Communicate with borrowers to request additional documentation as needed
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines throughout the mortgage process
Assist in the preparation of closing documents and coordinate loan closings

Qualifications

Bilingual English and Spanish REQUIRED
Previous experience in mortgage processing or a related field such as loan origination or mortgage servicing
Knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and guidelines, including FNMA standards
Familiarity with loan underwriting procedures and escrow processes- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
