Occupational Therapist Job Summary
As a travel OT, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide high-quality therapeutic services that help patients improve daily functioning, independence, and quality of life. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical judgment.

Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy treatments based on patient needs and physician orders
- Modify treatment plans as appropriate based on patient response and progress
- Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and on time
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehab staff
- Maintain productivity standards and follow facility policies and compliance requirements
- Discharge patients when goals are met or skilled therapy is no longer medically necessary
- Provide care in a professional, compassionate, and patient-focused manner
Occupational Therapist Job Requirements
To be considered for these travel assignments, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to practice in the state of assignment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 6 months of recent experience as an OT within the last 5 years
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including frequently moving or lifting 50–100 lbs
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new teams, settings, and workflows
