Full Job Description

The Kearney Companies is a Site & Utilities Contractor based in Riverview, FL. Locally owned and operated for over 70 years, we offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and long-term career growth opportunities. Our projects include site development, underground utilities, roadway construction, and public infrastructure work throughout the Tampa Bay area.

We are currently seeking experienced Dozer Operators to join our growing team. Qualified candidates must have experience performing push work finish grading on site development and civil construction projects. Operators must be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working efficiently to meet production goals and project schedules.

Requirements

Previous dozer operating experience required.
Experience performing finish grading required.
Valid Driver's License required.
Ability to work Monday through Saturday.
Must be willing to work on projects located throughout Hillsborough, Hernando, Polk, Pasco, and Manatee Counties.
Knowledge of earthwork, grading, site development, roadway construction, and utility construction preferred.
Experience with GPS machine control systems preferred.
Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and maintain equipment in a safe operating condition.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of dozer operating experience on site development, roadway, or heavy civil construction projects preferred.
Experience with finish grading and site balancing.
Ability to read and interpret grading stakes, elevations, and construction plans.
Experience operating GPS-equipped dozers preferred.
Strong understanding of grading tolerances and production requirements.
Experience working safely around underground utilities, excavation operations, and other heavy equipment.

Work Schedule

Monday through Saturday
Hours may vary based on job site and operational needs

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification
Driver's License (Preferred)
