Full Job Description

Job Overview
Join our vibrant community as a Recreation Coordinator/Concierge, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for residents through engaging activities, personalized service, and compassionate support. This dynamic position combines event planning, social engagement, and care coordination to create a lively, welcoming environment. You will serve as a friendly point of contact for residents and their families, ensuring their needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your energy and dedication will help foster a sense of community, independence, and joy among residents while supporting their individual preferences and care requirements.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and execute a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests, including social events, outings, and therapeutic programs.
Serve as a concierge by assisting residents with daily needs such as scheduling appointments, coordinating transportation, and providing information about community services.
Collaborate with caregiving staff to support residents’ participation in activities that promote cognitive stimulation and physical well-being, especially in memory care or dementia care settings.
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including mobility support, medication reminders, and personal care assistance when needed.
Manage activity calendars to ensure seamless scheduling of events, appointments, and special programs while maintaining clear communication with residents and staff.
Foster meaningful connections by engaging residents in conversations, offering companionship, and providing emotional support aligned with aging issues counseling and senior care principles.
Maintain detailed records of resident participation in activities and report on individual preferences or concerns to the caregiving team.

Requirements

Proven experience in event planning within assisted living or nursing home environments; familiarity with long-term care or home & community care is highly desirable.
Strong background in recreational therapy, Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care, or working with individuals with disabilities—knowledge of dementia care best practices is essential.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and community partners.
Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving tailored to seniors’ needs.
Skilled in schedule management to coordinate multiple activities efficiently while adapting to changing priorities.
Knowledge of aging issues counseling and social work principles that support holistic resident well-being.
Ability to work independently with initiative while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Join us to make a meaningful difference every day!
