Position Overview
Creativity Justified is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Executive – Agency Sales to generate and close new business for the agency.
This is a remote, commission-based independent contractor opportunity for a proven sales professional who understands advertising, marketing, branding, communications, media, consulting, technology, or other professional services.
The ideal candidate has an active book of business, an established network of decision-makers, and a demonstrated ability to independently manage the complete sales process with minimal training, supervision, or closing support.
This is a senior, full-cycle business development role. The selected professional will be responsible for:
- Generating leads
- Prospecting and initiating relationships
- Qualifying opportunities
- Nurturing prospects
- Conducting discovery meetings
- Presenting agency solutions
- Coordinating proposals and scopes
- Managing objections
- Negotiating terms
- Securing signed agreements
- Supporting the transition into client onboarding
This is not an appointment-setting or lead-generation-only position. Creativity Justified will not provide a guaranteed pipeline of ready-to-close prospects. The representative must be able to generate, develop, and close their own opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate New Business
- Leverage an existing book of business, professional network, referrals, and industry relationships to create qualified opportunities.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through direct outreach, email, LinkedIn, networking, professional associations, conferences, events, and other appropriate channels.
- Build relationships with executives, business owners, marketing leaders, communications teams, procurement professionals, program directors, and other decision-makers.
- Identify corporate, institutional, public-sector, subcontracting, and partnership opportunities.
- Develop a consistent pipeline of project-based, recurring, and large-scale engagements.
Qualify and Nurture Opportunities
- Determine whether prospects align with Creativity Justified’s services, pricing, capacity, and preferred client profiles.
- Confirm the prospect’s business need, budget, decision-making authority, timeline, procurement requirements, and readiness to engage.
- Maintain consistent and organized follow-up throughout short and extended sales cycles.
- Reengage previous prospects and dormant relationships when appropriate.
- Build trust and advance qualified prospects toward a clear decision.
Lead Discovery and Sales Presentations
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand the prospect’s organization, audience, challenges, objectives, existing marketing efforts, and desired outcomes.
- Identify the appropriate agency service, campaign, project, subscription, or retainer.
- Present Creativity Justified’s capabilities, experience, differentiators, case studies, and recommended solutions.
- Communicate the strategic value and expected business impact of the recommended engagement.
- Lead sales conversations confidently with minimal agency support.
Coordinate Proposals and Close Sales
- Gather the information required for pricing, proposals, scopes of work, and presentations.
- Collaborate with agency leadership when specialized scoping, pricing, technical expertise, or delivery input is required.
- Manage objections related to budget, scope, timing, competition, internal approval, and perceived value.
- Negotiate within approved agency pricing and contractual parameters.
- Secure verbal commitments, signed agreements, required documentation, and initial client payments.
- Maintain responsibility for the opportunity until the agreement is executed and the client is ready for onboarding.

Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships within one or more Creativity Justified client archetypes.
- Experience selling monthly retainers, marketing subscriptions, integrated campaigns, or agency projects.
- Experience with enterprise procurement, supplier engagement, government contracting, or subcontracting.
- Familiarity with requests for proposals and requests for qualifications.
- Experience managing complex and multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Experience using a CRM or structured pipeline-management system.
- A documented record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Compensation and Commission Structure
This is a commission-only independent contractor opportunity. It does not include a guaranteed salary, hourly wage, benefits, or guaranteed lead volume.
Estimated annual earning potential is $60,000–$150,000+, based on performance. There is no cap on commission earnings.
Commission is calculated on eligible revenue received and collected by Creativity Justified, not on verbal commitments, unsigned proposals, or unpaid invoices.
Self-Generated Business
For opportunities independently generated, nurtured, and closed by the representative:
- 10% commission on collected project-based revenue
- 12% commission on collected monthly retainer or subscription revenue
The representative must be the documented originating source of the opportunity and actively manage the full sales process through contract execution.
Commission on recurring retainers or subscriptions will be paid on eligible collected revenue during the first six months of the initial agreement, provided the representative remains actively engaged and in good standing.
Agency-Provided or Warm Opportunities
When Creativity Justified assigns an existing inquiry, referral, or warm opportunity:
- 5% commission on collected project-based revenue
- 8% commission on collected monthly retainer or subscription revenue
The representative must materially manage the opportunity, including qualification, nurturing, discovery, follow-up, objection handling, negotiation, and closing.
Making an introduction, forwarding contact information, or attending a meeting does not independently establish ownership of a sale.
Monthly Performance Bonuses
Representatives may also qualify for:
- $500 monthly bonus after reaching at least $10,000 in collected new-business revenue during a calendar month
- $1,500 monthly bonus after reaching at least $25,000 in collected new-business revenue during a calendar month
Only the highest applicable bonus will be paid for a given month.
Commission Eligibility
To qualify for commission:
- The opportunity must be documented in the agency’s designated sales tracking system.
- The representative must be identified as the originating or assigned sales owner.
- Sales activities, opportunity stage, projected value, communications, and next steps must be maintained accurately.
- The client must execute the required agreement.
- Creativity Justified must receive and clear the corresponding client payment.
- The representative must not make unauthorized pricing, staffing, delivery, service, or contractual commitments.
Commission is processed after the corresponding client payment has been received and cleared, according to the agency’s contractor payment cycle.
Refunds, credits, chargebacks, canceled services, uncollected invoices, media spend, taxes, travel, reimbursable expenses, pass-through costs, and third-party vendor expenses are excluded from commissionable revenue.
Renewals, expanded scopes, and additional projects are commissionable only when the representative materially contributes to developing and closing the additional business and documents the opportunity appropriately.
Performance Expectations
The selected professional will be expected to:
- Generate the majority of their own leads and opportunities.
- Build and maintain an active, qualified pipeline.
- Conduct consistent prospecting, outreach, networking, and follow-up.
- Lead discovery calls and sales presentations.
- Move qualified opportunities through defined sales stages.
- Maintain accurate pipeline records and revenue forecasts.
- Meet agreed monthly and quarterly sales expectations.
- Close new business during the introductory performance period.
- Participate in scheduled sales and pipeline reviews.
- Protect the agency’s reputation, pricing integrity, confidential information, intellectual property, and client relationships.
Continued engagement will be based on documented activity, qualified pipeline growth, closed and collected revenue, communication, professionalism, and adherence to agency processes.
This Role Is Not a Fit for Someone Who
- Requires a prebuilt pipeline or daily list of leads.
- Has only appointment-setting or lead-generation experience.
- Expects agency leadership to conduct all discovery, follow-up, negotiation, and closing.
- Requires extensive sales training or daily supervision.
- Does not have an established professional network or book of business.
- Is uncomfortable with commission-only compensation.
- Primarily sells low-cost or transactional services.
- Cannot navigate executive, procurement, institutional, or multi-stakeholder sales environments.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a self-directed and experienced business development professional who understands how strategic agency services are sold.
You know how to establish credibility, uncover business needs, qualify budget and authority, nurture relationships, present solutions, manage objections, negotiate responsibly, and secure signed agreements.
You bring more than a contact list. You bring established relationships, sound judgment, sales discipline, and the ability to convert qualified opportunities into sustainable agency revenue.
