Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Production Machinists with CNC programming experience to support high-quality manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision components that meet engineering and customer specifications. The ideal candidate combines strong machining knowledge with hands-on problem-solving ability and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.

Create and edit CNC programs using CAM software and machine controls.

Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds for efficient production.

Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments.

Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs or machine settings as needed.

Optimize cycle times and machining processes to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.

Maintain production schedules while ensuring product quality standards are met.
Qualifications
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Minimum 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience programming CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM software.

Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, materials, and tolerances.

Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.

Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.

Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens, or similar controls preferred.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Manual dexterity and ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, machine noise, metal shavings, lubricants, and moving mechanical parts. Proper PPE and safety procedures are required at all times.
