Full Job Description

Overview

Seeking a part-time Office Assistant for a small, long-established (over 150 years) family business. One to two years office experience necessary. Hours are 9AM-2PM, Monday to Friday. $24/hour starting salary. We provide 5 sick days and, after one year, a one week paid vacation.

Computer knowledge, particularly in Microsoft Word and Outlook Email required. Sending and receiving emails, scanning, typing forms, proposals and letters. Additional skills and duties included below.

Duties

Greet visitors and clients warmly, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive first impression
Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls accurately using professional phone etiquette
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mail, and courier deliveries
Maintain organized filing systems, perform data entry, and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date
Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings for staff and executives
Assist with office management tasks such as supply inventory, ordering materials, and maintaining office equipment
Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution, ensuring high-quality communication
Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and organizing files to support daily operations

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
