About Resilience Gymnastics Academy
Resilience Gymnastics Academy (RGA) is a growing, athlete-centered gymnastics programcommitted to developing confident, resilient, and technically strong athletes. We recently opened our new gymnastics facility in Denver and are actively expanding our recreational and competitive programs.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated USAG Women's Optional Coach to work our current optional-level athletes (Levels 6-8) and develop the program. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in building a competitive program and shaping its culture, training standards, and long-term success.
Position Summary
This Individual will be the director of the Optionals program and therefore, responsible for athlete development, skill progression, routine construction, competition preparation, as well as the overall development of the Optionals program . The ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge, advanced spotting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a coaching philosophy that combines high expectations with an athlete-first approach.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coach athletes during practices, competitions, clinics, and team events.
- Develop individualized and group training plans aligned with each athlete’s goals, abilities, and competitive level..
- Safely spot advanced gymnastics skills and implement appropriate drills and progressions.
- Develop competitive routines that highlight each athlete’s strengths while meeting USAG requirements.
- Collaborate with choreographers and coaching staff on routine construction and athlete development.
- Maintain a positive team culture centered on resilience, confidence, accountability, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Establish professional and supportive relationships with athletes and families.
- Strong knowledge of optional-level technique, skill progressions, routine requirements, and competition preparation.
- Ability to motivate athletes while maintaining clear expectations, professional boundaries, and an athlete-centered coaching environment.
- Develop clear Optional program expectations and be able to communicate and implement them with coaching staff.
- Availability for afternoon and evening practices, weekend competitions, and travel during the competitive season.
- Current or willingness to obtain all required USA Gymnastics memberships, background screening, Safe Sport training, and professional certifications.Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is technically knowledgeable, energetic, dependable, and passionate about developing athletes as both gymnasts and individuals. This coach should be able to maintain high competitive standards while creating a training environment in which athletes feel safe, respected, challenged, and supported. We are looking for someone who values collaboration, communicates effectively, and wants to contribute to the long-term development of a growing competitive gymnastics program.
Compensation
$25-$35/hour
Competitive hourly or salaried compensation will be offered based on experience, credentials, coaching level, availability, and scope of responsibilities.
