The State of Connecticut, Department of Revenue Services (DRS) has an exciting opportunity for a Fiscal/Administrative Officer in the Central Services unit, within the Department's Fiscal and Administrative Services Division. This position is accountable for preparing agency billing, purchases and budget reports, fringe benefit analysis, grant billing and activity, asset/inventory management, agency security access administration, projections for all funds including federal, overtime and retirement payouts, petty cash and reimbursement expenditures.

Position Highlights:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, on first shift.
- Hybrid opportunities available.
- Located: 450 Columbus Blvd, Hartford, CT.
Duties of this position may include, but are not limited to:
- Receive agency assets;
- Tag and track assets;
- Compile annual inventory reports;
- Initiate and track disposal of assets;
- Serve as agency records management liaison with the State Librarian;
- Maintain/process travel reimbursements;
- Assist Agency Transportation Administrator with Fleet Tasks and Responsibilities;
- Run monthly purchase card report and collect information from purchase card holders;
- Serve as DAS liaison for badge/parking security access;
- Process tuition reimbursements with OSC;
- Compile and track grant expenditures for billing;
- Other duties as assigned.

Six (6) years of experience in a combination of fiscal/administrative functions (e.g., accounting, accounts examining, budget management, grant administration, payroll, purchasing) at least one of which must be an accounting or budgeting function.*
Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been at or above the paraprofessional level, requiring the exercise of some independent judgment in the application of basic principles and procedures in accounting, budgeting, purchasing or related fiscal administration functions.
NOTE: Connecticut Careers Trainee experience (target Fiscal/Administrative Officer or closely related class) is at the professional training level and above the paraprofessional level.
