Auto Body Damage Appraiser With Customer Service and Sales Experience

Currently we are seeking an Auto Damage Appraiser to fill a key role in our business. In this highly visible role, the right candidate will:

Have a sales background to explain the repair process and the unique value of having an I-CAR Gold Class shop with many OEM Certifications perform the repairs to their vehicle.
Sell customer pay and insurance pay collision repair services
Be comfortable and confident with customer interactions - face to face and by phone
Go the extra mile to earn customer trust.
Understand and document the proper way to repair a vehicle thru the appraisal process.
Work as part of our Office Team. Be nice, communicate well and be thorough.
Prepare "curb estimates", Pre-Order parts , and manage customer expectations through the repair process.
Follow-up on leads to earn business.
Understand the regulations and use them to ensure fair negotiations take place
Research OEM repair procedures. Use that information to write thorough and accurate estimates. Monitor what the manufacturers are recommending for proper repair methods.
Provide documentation in appraisals and in our shop management system
Write detailed and well-documented appraisals using CCC and Mitchell
Reconcile the differences between insurer appraisal and our repair plan.
Create 2nd supplements with supporting documentation and negotiate with insurer.
Help others on our team be successful
Continue training thru I-CAR and other means. Maintain I-CAR training requirements annually. (Total Care will pay for the courses)
Utilize your talents to help make our repair process better and more efficient
Perform other related tasks as needed and with enthusiasm
Maintain an organized work area
Be honest, tell the truth to colleagues and customers alike
Be a leader. Set a good example. Always be willing to help the team.
