Bookkeeping and Tax Office Manager (Entry-Level)

Location: Broadway, NC
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Bookkeeping and Tax Office Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in bookkeeping, accounting, and tax preparation. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Position SummaryThe Bookkeeping and Tax Office Manager is responsible for managing daily office operations while providing bookkeeping and tax services to clients. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with numbers, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Bookkeeping

Record and categorize financial transactions.
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for clients.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist with payroll processing and payroll tax filings.
Prepare financial reports and summaries.

Tax Services

Collect, organize, and review client tax documents.
Prepare individual and small business tax returns.
Communicate with clients regarding tax information and required documentation.
Ensure tax returns are completed accurately and submitted on time.
Assist clients with tax-related questions and requests.

Office Management

Answer phones, emails, and client inquiries.
Schedule appointments and manage office calendars.
Maintain client files and document management systems.
Ensure confidentiality of all client financial information.
Manage office supplies and administrative tasks.
Create a welcoming and professional environment for clients.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Dependable, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Previous bookkeeping, tax preparation, administrative, or customer service experience.
Interest in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax services.
