Finance Director - Automotive Dealership

Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven, and experienced Finance Director. The Finance Director is responsible for leading the dealership's Finance & Insurance (F&I) operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maximizing profitability, developing the finance team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the vehicle purchase process.

Job Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Insurance team to achieve performance goals.
Oversee daily F&I department operations and ensure efficient workflow.
Monitor finance production, product penetration, and profitability.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as lender and dealership policies.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and lending partners.
Review and approve finance transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in structuring financing options that meet customer needs and lender requirements.
Monitor contracts to ensure timely funding and resolution of any funding issues.
Analyze departmental performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Train team members on compliance, sales processes, and dealership policies.
Collaborate with sales management to support dealership sales objectives.
Maintain accurate records and required documentation for all finance transactions.
Stay informed of changes in lending programs, regulations, and industry best practices.
Attend management meetings and participate in dealership planning initiatives.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
Five or more years of progressive automotive Finance & Insurance experience, including management responsibilities.
Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Strong understanding of automotive finance regulations and compliance requirements.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
