About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and compassionate Medical Technician to join our dynamic clinical team! In this key role, you will work side-by-side with our board-certified physicians and physician assistants to facilitate cutting-edge digital imaging and non-surgical joint treatments. You will play an essential role in patient care, room setup, digital X-ray operation, medical inventory, and EMR documentation. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (dependent on experience / certification)
Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Preparation: Warmly greet and seat patients, verify demographics and medical history, collect copays, and position patients comfortably for joint treatment procedures.
- Digital Imaging / X-Ray Operation: Prepare, warm up, and operate digital X-ray / fluoroscopy equipment to capture precise diagnostic images for knee and shoulder procedures under provider guidance.
- Procedure Room Setup & Support: Assist providers during injections by preparing sterile medication carts (Lidocaine, Depo, viscosupplementation gels), handling equipment, and ensuring room sterility.
- Clinical Documentation & EMR: Accurately record treatment details, injection sites, fluid aspirations, and patient notes into DrChrono EMR, completing and locking clinical notes per practice protocols.
- Patient Scheduling & Follow-Up: Book follow-up visits, reconsults, and procedure appointments in accordance with office color-coding and time-slot standards; conduct daily confirmation calls.
- Inventory & Daily Operations: Conduct morning medication checks (proper discarding of expired drawn meds), maintain sanitized carts and exam rooms, restock medical supplies, and complete evening checkout routines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED;
- Prior experience in customer service roles. Experience in an outpatient clinic, medical office, or specialty healthcare setting is a plus.
- Experience operating X-ray/fluoroscopy equipment or willingness to be trained on specialized digital imaging.
- General computer proficiency. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems especially DrChrono experience is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strict adherence to protocol, and strong organizational skills.
- Warm, compassionate interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus!
